Hello! My name is Christopher Clarke. I am a Instructional Assistant Professor of Economics at University of Houston. I received my PhD in Economics from Washington State University in 2018. My research fields are public capital and income inequality. In particular, I study the effects of infrastructure on the private economy and income inequality, as well as the political determinants of public capital allocation.
I love connecting to students and encouraging their futures using powerful economic tools in a wide diversity of applications. I have over five years teaching experience covering introductory to master’s levels.
I live with my spouse and two young sons. We like to read books of all kinds, hike, and explore. I play the piano well, the organ as an amateur, and the ukulele when no one is looking.
